Hundreds of people turned up to march, sing and eat on Saturday as they celebrated the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce, the city of Gig Harbor and others organized the celebration. It was the first organized Fourth celebration in recent memory in the city.

Activities included a kids and pets parade, pie-eating contests, a balloon toss, music and a crowd sing-along to patriotic songs.
